Hanover named Europe’s top public affairs consultancy

Hanover has been named as the public affairs consultancy of the year for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region by a prestigious industry publication.

The Holmes Report has chosen the company for the prize based on the success of its expansion initiatives during the last 12 months, including the establishment of its new Brussels office in May 2010.

It noted that this was achieved despite difficult economic conditions and the impact of the UK and EU elections on the public policy sector as a whole.

Hanover noted that the award is a closely-competed affair due to the stature of The Holmes Report within the public relations industry.

Paul Holmes, editor and founder of The Holmes Report, said: "Last year was a very strong year for the industry around the world, but [Hanover] was among those that particularly impressed in terms of its financial performance, thought leadership and creative work."

In September 2010, PRWeek reported that Hanover won a brief to conduct public relations work for Sanofi-aventis' oncology portfolio, in association with Just Health PR.
