FDA Takes Action on Unauthorised CBD Products

Five cautionary letters were sent to businesses by the FDA for marketing CBD goods in a manner that violates the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

The cautions were sent to; Bee Delightful, G&L Wellness (C Better Daily), New Leaf Pharmaceuticals, NextL3vel Services Group, and Wellness BioSciences

In breach of the FD&C legislation the FDA has already issued warnings to other businesses that are marketing unapproved CBD goods unlawfully and making claims that they may stop, identify, reduce, treat, or cure different conditions. Further infractions occurred in certain situations due to the addition of CBD to food and the improper marketing of certain goods as “dietary supplements.”

The goods which are the focus of the cautions are regarded as unapproved new medications as they have not undergone the FDA’s drug approval procedure.
