Role Overview

The Account Manager will lead the day-to-day communication and smooth running of this department, which is specifically dedicated to all business with our Top 25 pharmaceutical company clients.

They will target and acquire new projects with pharmaceutical clients, utilising knowledge from past work, as well as pharmaceutical trends/news. Account Managers will additionally focus on maintaining current relationships with key clients. They are the main point of contact for their clients

We have a fresh opportunity for an Account Manager at a not-so-traditional Medical Animation agency!

Our client are recognised by the UK Department of International Trade as one of the leading innovative creative companies in the country and we have represented the UK at events all over the world.

Medical animation serves is at the heart of what they do, and their scientific storytelling and drug visualization help form the foundation of a pharmaceutical marketing campaign. They have completed projects for all of the Top 25 Pharma companies, working directly with scientists as well as sales and procurement teams.

Role Requirements

” Understands the market, our business, products and our customer proposition
” Researches, identifies and qualifies leads and contacts that fit our customer profile
” Builds relationships with new and existing pharmaceutical clients for potential projects
” Confidently presents capabilities presentations
” Proposal development
” Independently handles RFI/RFP presentation preparation
” Facilitating internal discussions on projects
” Provides support on kick-off and existing project calls
” Negotiates project terms
” Proactively responds to campaign & medical marketing news
” Maintains account mapping by brand/product
” Management of key databases and initiatives
” Take initiative in updating team members on changes in market/clients

Person Specifications

” Candidates must have a life sciences BSc and/or MSc with a desire to develop their careers in medical communications
” ~2-3 years’ experience at another medical communications agency at SAE or AM level or experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a client facing role Strong desire to develop their career in business development and account handling, with a commercially driven mindset
” Strong communicator both written and verbally
” Is comfortable with presenting over Teams and in person
” Has excellent organizational and time management skills, and can manage workload effectively
” A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
” Proficient at Microsoft Suite

Desirable Skills or Qualifications
” Previous experience with a CRM platform i.e. Salesforce
” Previous experience using InDesign and/or PowerPoint to make presentations
” An interest and/or experience B2B sales & marketing
” Ability to be solution driven
