3 Monkeys Zeno appoints new healthcare head

17th January 2017

3 Monkeys Zeno has announced the appointment of David Berkovitch as its new head of healthcare, succeeding Rachel Vrettos.

Mr Berkovitch joins the agency from Fleishman Hillard Fishburn and will take up a position on the 3 Monkeys Zeno board following this appointment. He will be tasked with helping the firm to shift from a reactive to proactive approach to healthcare comms, reports PRWeek.

He has been appointed as the successor to Ms Vrettos following her recent move to New York, where she has assumed the position of global director of healthcare with the agency's parent company Zeno Group.

3 Monkeys Zeno was formed in January 2016 through the acquisition of 3 Monkeys by Edelman sister firm Zeno, which saw Steve Earl retain his role as the agency's European managing director.

Mr Earl has taken on the additional role of head of technology this week, succeeding Hannah Williams, who has left the firm after three years.

Christine Jewell, UK managing director of 3 Monkeys Zeno, said: "Healthcare and technology are sectors that require a brilliant blend of brand-savvy, creative thinking alongside deep technical knowledge and market understanding to deliver campaigns that really shift the dial."
