3M Health Care Markets division to relocate to new offices

3M's Health Care Markets division has confirmed it is moving out of its long-time base at Morley Street in Loughborough.

The company plans to move out of the site and base about 170 members of staff at new offices on the Charnwood Campus in late 2017.

3M moved into the old I & R Morley hosiery mill building back in the 1950s. However, the company believes moving to a new premises will support its future growth and development plans.

Simon Holmes, country business leader for 3M’s Health Care Markets division, commented: "The Morley Street facility has served us well for many years and we believe that this prominent landmark site is an attractive development opportunity for prospective purchasers.

He insisted that 3M remains committed to Loughborough as the centre of its UK healthcare business, adding that it is "excited about moving to a new location with upgraded facilities in line with our current and future business needs".
