Abbott launches new snack

Abbott has launched a snack which is said to be nourishing and goes towards helping a charitable cause.

Providing a source of protein, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, the ZonePerfect Dark Chocolate Nutrition Bars are made from real cacao.

A number of flavours are available – caramel pecan, mocha and cookies ‘n’ creme ? and new packaging will be rolled out to each of the products over the next few months.

These snacks promise to be a tasty way to refuel during the day and Monica Hysell, general manager for Abbott’s nutrition department, explained some of the proceeds will be put to good use.

“Purchases of ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars can help support music education in our schools through our partner, the VH1 Save the Music Foundation,” she explained.

A division of Abbott, Abbott Nutrition produces a number of ranges around the world such as Similac Advance, Alimentum and Isomil Advance.

For youngsters it produces PediaSure and Pedialyte. Diabetic nutrition is catered for in the business’ Glucerna items.
