Abbott presents new product innovations at AACC 2014
Abbott is attending this week's American Association for Clinical Chemistry (2014) annual meeting in Chicago, where it is presenting its latest diagnostic innovations to attendees.
The AACC Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo – which runs from July 27th to 31st – presents the company with an opportunity to discuss the benefits offered by its latest products in terms of increased testing volumes and improved efficiencies.
Its recently-launched Accelerator A3600 next-generation automation solution is among the core laboratory products on display, as well as the m2000 RealTime System for automated infectious disease molecular testing and the i-STAT point-of-care analysis device.
Other offerings on display include the developmental Iridica bio-identification system and a diverse suite of informatics solutions.
Brian Blaser, executive vice-president for diagnostics products at Abbott, said: "Abbott is focused on providing an integrated diagnostic solution, powered by innovations that can help our customers channel change into growth and ensure exceptional performance."
Earlier this month, the company increased its earnings guidance for the rest of the year on the back of the better-than-expected performance it achieved during the second quarter of 2014.
