Agilent and Ameritox form medication monitoring alliance
Agilent and Ameritox have confirmed they have joined forces to form a medication monitoring alliance.
The two companies have come together to create a research collaboration that they claim could speed up analysis in this field.
Can Ozbal, director of Agilent's Rapid Fire business, explained using multiple Rapid Fire systems allows Ameritox to streamline "the analysis of small panels of exogenous compounds compared to traditional methods of analysis".
Jay Zimmerman, chief laboratory officer of Ameritox, added the collaboration will provide a "vantage point from which we can continue to discover new uses for our science and technology".
He suggested major advancements in the field of medication monitoring could be achieved as a result of the alliance between Agilent and Ameritox.
Agilent recently announced the launch of the Agilent 7890B gas chromatograph and the 5977A Series mass selective detector.
Monty Benefiel, Agilent vice-president for Gas Phase Systems, noted the products provide a major development for the firm.
