Agilent announces partnership with Anderson Forschung Group
Agilent Technologies has announced it is to collaborate with the Anderson Forschung Group (AFG) on a new project.
The venture will help make improvements in clinical mass spectrometry through developing quantitative peptide assays, which will then be used to speed up protein biomarker discovery and validation.
Gustavo Salem, vice-president and general manager of the firm’s biological systems division, commented: "One of the greatest challenges to delivering useful knowledge using the protein biomarker discovery paradigm is achieving effective, reproducible and highly sensitive peptide quantitation."
Meanwhile, chief executive officer of AFG Leigh Anderson said the group looked forward to optimising the combination of Agilent’s platform with SISCAPA assays for biomarkers.
The latter firm’s 1200 Series HPLC-Chip/MS and 6400 Series triple quadrupole LC/MS systems will be put to use throughout the project.
In related news, Agilent Technologies recently publicised the availability of its MATLAB data analysis software with 86100C DCA-J oscilloscopes.
According to the corporation, the combination enables engineers to analyse, visualise and filter signals, simplifying work processes and cutting down on time.
