Agilent launches new Intuvo 9000 GC solution
Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of its newest gas chromatography (GC) system, the Agilent Intuvo 9000 GC solution.
Designed for ease of use, the technology provides click-and-run connections to eliminate ferrules, while its guard-chip technology can extend column life and its trim-free column removes the issue of retention time shifts caused by column trimming maintenance.
Thanks to its Intuvo Flow Technology chips and Smart ID Keys, it is able to automatically identify installed components and self-configure methods, with its touchscreen user interface providing quick access to system status and real-time data.
The technology has been optimised for high-throughput contract laboratories and labs that regularly deal with challenging sample matrices in fields such as food, environmental, chemical, pharma and forensics testing.
Mike McMullen, Agilent's president and chief executive officer, said: "With this heritage, coupled with an extensive network of industry partnerships and market experts, Agilent is uniquely positioned to take another leap forward by putting this transformational technology in the hands of our customers."
The company recently reported year-on-year growth exceeding internal expectations during the most recent fiscal quarter.
