Agilent launches SureSelect target enrichment for Ion Proton systems
Agilent Technologies has announced the availability of SureSelect Target Enrichment functionality for Ion Proton systems.
The new features will make it possible for users of the next-generation sequencing system to take advantage of an industry-leading human exome and custom DNA target enrichment solution, providing high sensitivity and specificity with a fast and easy workflow.
Sequencer-ready samples can be generated in only one and a half days, with other features including uniform sequencing coverage and the ability to create custom panels specific to targets of interest with the online software service SureDesign.
It means that SureSelect target enrichment is now available for all major sequencing platforms.
Jacob Thaysen, vice-president of Agilent's genomic solutions division, said: "The adoption of desktop sequencers has increased dramatically over the past few years, enabling next-generation sequencing to expand further into clinical research."
This comes after the firm allied with MRM Proteomics to launch new commercial kits for quality control of MRM-based quantitative plasma proteomic workflows.
