Agilent launches target enrichment solution for next-generation sequencing
Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of a new next-generation sequencing library prep solution that offers high sensitivity and comprehensive workflow management tools.
The new Agilent SureSelect XT HS tool provides a complete target enrichment research solution encompassing quality control, target enrichment, analysis and interpretation, thereby accelerating workflows and eliminating sequencing errors.
It has been optimised for labs with a requirement to sequence DNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples that may have degraded over time, and incorporates molecular barcodes to improve overall precision and produce higher-complexity libraries.
As such, it allows users to create libraries with higher percentage reads in targeted regions that require as little as 10 ng of starting DNA, while the faster and more efficient processing requires less hands-on time, meaning labs can move from sample to sequencing in a single day.
Jeff Heimburger, head of genomics marketing at Agilent, said: "These advances highlight Agilent's continued commitment to alleviating customer pain and improving lab efficiency through innovation."
