Agilent launches VistaFlux software for metabolic flux analysis

21st April 2016

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of VistaFlux, the first commercially available software solution for metabolic flux analysis.

The tool is designed to help researchers analyse qualitative metabolic flux-tracking of the different pathways a metabolite participates in under different biological experiments. This is of particular use to researchers examining metabolic pathways associated with cancer cells.

Thanks to VistaFlux, users will be able to more easily analyse data from targeted metabolic flux experiments when using Agilent time-of-flight and quadrupole time-of-flight liquid chromatography mass spectrometry systems.

It represents the latest addition to the company's comprehensive suite of software for metabolomics and the MassHunter MS software portfolio.

Monty Benefiel, Agilent's vice-president and general manager of its mass spectrometry division, said: "VistaFlux enables cutting-edge, targeted, isotopologue data extraction and pathway visualisation of flux results for greater biological understanding. It will enable multidisciplinary research teams to quickly mine and interpret the data they collect from targeted qualitative flux experiments."

The firm received an award from SelectScience in recognition of its customer service last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801817054-ADNFCR
