Agilent showcases test products for TD-LTE

16th February 2009

Agilent is to deliver a range of commercial test products for TD-LTE at the GSMA World Mobile Conference, it has announced.

The company explained TD-LTE, which is also known as LTE TDD, plays an important role in markets where unpaired spectrum is a requirement.

A number of TD-LTE solutions will be on display at the event, which takes place between February 16th and 18th.

These include the Agilent N7625B Signal Studio for LTE TDD, which is described as a "powerful", PC-based piece of software which is used for creating standards-based TD-LTE signals making use of Agilent’s N5182A/62A MXG and E4438C ESG vector signal generators, and N5106A PXB MIMO receiver tester.

Commenting on the move, Ron Nersesian, vice president of Agilent’s wireless business unit, said: "We have developed several first-to-market TD-LTE test products to ensure the success of TD-LTE deployment that must meet some aggressive time-to-market goals."
