Agilent Technologies forms new alliance with Imperial College London

Agilent Technologies has announced the formation of a new strategic scientific collaboration with Imperial College London.

The partnership will see Agilent support the university with a broad range of instruments to equip a new Agilent-sponsored Measurement Suite, which will be housed within Imperial's Molecular Sciences Research Hub at the White City Campus due to open later this year.

This will allow the laboratory to extend its interdisciplinary research capabilities in fields such as clinical diagnostics, biopharmaceuticals, energy and chemicals, environmental science, food testing and agriculture, materials research, and proteomics.

In addition, the suite will serve as an Agilent instrument demonstration lab, allowing customers to receive working demonstrations of the company's workflow solutions.

Mike McMullen, Agilent's president and chief executive officer, said: "We recognise the important contributions made by university scientific research to solve real-life challenges from finding new ways to fight cancer, to ensuring the purity of food, to solving major environmental issues."
