Agilent Technologies introduces new validation software

30th January 2009

Agilent Technologies has launched new WiMedia-based multiband orthogonal frequency domain modulation (MB-OFDM) ultra-wideband (UWB) validation software – described as "the industry’s most automated" platform.

Running on the company’s Infiniium 90000 Series oscilloscopes, the software – titled U7239A – allows engineers to make measurements by attaching to the SMA input or directly connecting the receiver antenna and the oscilloscope’s input.

The U7239A WiMedia-based MB-OFDM UWB software offers PHY compliance and verification measurements on radios, which are based on WiMedia’s radio standard. It also creates an HTML report after each test, having automatically configured the oscilloscope. The test results are compared by the software with the specification limit and shows whether the tests have passed or failed.

Agilent commented in a statement: "The complex analysis runs seamlessly within the scope, which saves users time and effort compared to making and analysing measurements manually."
