Agilent Technologies launches mobile version of OpenLab ELN
Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of a new mobile version of its OpenLAB Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) software through the iOS App Store.
The mobile-optimised edition of the lab productivity tool is built for intuitive use and speed, making it easier for scientists to get real-time results data, collaborate with others remotely and make changes to experiments.
It also means they will have access to laboratory data anytime and anywhere through the convenience of their mobile devices, thus greatly enhancing efficiency.
Agilent now produces desktop, mobile and cloud-based versions of its OpenLAB ELN software, ensuring users can remain connected to the tool regardless of their location or choice of device.
John Sadler, vice-president and general manager of Agilent's software and informatics division, said: "Laboratories worldwide are looking to Agilent to help them shorten the path to results and maximise efficiency. Our new version of OpenLAB ELN uses the power of cloud and mobile technology to do just that."
The company will soon be expanding its capabilities in this field further following the recent announcement that it will be acquiring the software company Cartagenia.
