Agilent Technologies launches new version of OpenLAB ELN
Agilent Technologies has introduced the latest version of its OpenLAB Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) technology, which allows experiment data to be shared and collated more easily.
Version 4.1 of the web-based system has been streamlined to allow scientists to speed up the analytical request workflow, while also providing experimental templates which allow for the creation and sharing of custom experiment views.
The system's delegation workflow has also been augmented to allow multiple scientists to work together and enter data from different samples as part of the same project.
In addition, the technology has been optimised to provide the "highest level of intellectual property protection".
Bruce von Herrmann, vice-president and general manager at Agilent Software and Informatics, said: "Ideally, software helps people be more productive with very little additional thought or effort. This is the motivation behind the entire Agilent OpenLAB portfolio of laboratory systems."
Earlier this month, the science company released SureSelect Human All Exon 50 Mb Target Enrichment, a new DNA sequencing kit which allows experiments to be made more efficient.
