Agilent Technologies launches Ultra-Sensitive EIA System
Agilent Technologies has announced the availability of the HYCOR Ultra-Sensitive EIA System, which has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the quantitative determination of specific IgE.
The system combines fully-automated robotics with quantitative accuracy, sensitivity and precision to offer a "new level of performance and productivity", the company said in a statement.
Commenting on the launch, Skip Thune, HYCOR’s general manager, said that the new system has the throughput capacity to allow the firm to offer the solution to larger allergy testing customers that could not be serviced by other systems.
"It also sets a new standard for reliable measurement of low levels of specific IgE," he added.
Earlier this month, the company announced that Rick Eads, senior PCI Express program manager in Agilent’s digital test division, has been re-elected to serve on the Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group’s board of directors for a third term.
