Agilent Technologies updates Dissolution Workstation Software

5th August 2013

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of an enhanced version of its Dissolution Workstation Software, which can provide greater instrument control and improved monitoring of pharmaceutical ingredients.

Dissolution is a vital technique used in the pharmaceutical industry to determine the rate at which pure active pharmaceutical ingredients dissolve, with the new software set to facilitate the process.

It has been optimised to provide better data integration, method change control and instrument monitoring for controlling multiple dissolution systems, allowing users to build, edit, search, retrieve, execute and archive all methods and reports from a single interface.

The system also includes vibration monitoring tools, with baseline values for vibration on the x, y and z axes.

Allan Little, marketing director for Agilent's Dissolution Systems division, said: "Though there is no standard guidance on vibration measurements, it's important that laboratories understand the impact vibration can have on their dissolution testing."

The manufacturer is one of the biggest life science technology firms in the world, employing around 20,500 people globally.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801621150-ADNFCR
