Agilent to showcase AdvanceBio SEC columns at upcoming symposium

27th January 2016

Agilent Technologies has announced that it will be showcasing its new line of AdvanceBio SEC columns at an upcoming industry symposium.

The company is attending this week's Symposium on the Interface of Regulatory and Analytical Sciences for Biotechnology Health Products, which is running in Washington DC until January 28th, to demonstrate its newest product innovations.

Designed to help scientists achieve reproducible results in the development of biopharmaceuticals, the size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) columns offer a higher resolution and improved sensitivity.

They incorporate improved silica particles, providing the resolution and stability to run shorter columns at higher flow rates, thus offering accurate results in a quarter of the time.

Helen Stimson, Agilent's vice-president and general manager of its chemistries and supplies division, said: "This product line will enable laboratories to control costs by eliminating sample rework, simplifying method transfers and improving lab productivity."

SEC techniques are used to quantify aggregation in biotherapeutics such as monoclonal antibodies – a vital factor in developing and producing safe and effective drugs.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801811160-ADNFCR
