Agilent unveils UHPLC product expansion

Agilent Technologies has announced the expansion of its product range for its sub-2 micrometre particle 300 Angstrom pore columns for reversed-phase liquid chromatography.

The latest developments in the company's range offer benefits in terms of broadening the selectivity and improving peak shape and recovery options for larger proteins for medical professionals carrying out ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC).

Agilent product manager Linda Lloyd commented: "The new 1.8 micrometre columns add to the scalability of the ZORBAX family of C18, C8 and C3 phases already available with 3.5 and 5 micrometre particles."

She added the company is "pleased" to be bringing improved high order characterisation and increased speed to UHPLC users, with the range now comprising 13 phases for small molecule applications.

The firm also announced this week that it has secured a deal enabling Agilent's PXT wireless communications test set to become compatible with Bluetest AB's proprietary Reverberation Test System.
