Aliconia reveals new measurement device

28th May 2008

Aliconia has revealed an optical 3D measurement device that can measure the complete geometry of a precision tool in one measurement.

The firm claims the InfiniteFocus can measure the form of high-precision cutting tools in a single measurement which will reduce the demand on quality assurance.

A company statement said: "Geometries such as the tip radius or indentation of cutting tools can be measured in a single step instead of multiple measurements, reducing time and improving efficiency."

The firm also claims the product enables new measurements previously unavailable such as relief grinding at thread flanks, concentricity tolerance and pitch diameter of dies.

Aliconia claims to be a qualified and experienced partner in 3D surface metrology, offering high-end optical measurement solutions for the laboratory.

It maintains its systems are designed to serve particular needs and its customer intimacy, service and fair project execution assure that solutions are based on customer needs.
