Align Technology announces iTero Element commercial deal with Zfx

Align Technology has announced a new commercial agreement with digital prosthetic solutions provider Zfx, pertaining to the iTero Element intraoral scanner.

Under the terms of the deal, Zfx will serve as a sales agent for iTero Element intraoral scanners across its network of laboratories, milling centres and dental professionals, with devices to be used via an open architecture approach alongside Zfx's preferred digital milling and laboratory services.

This will ensure that iTero Element users can utilise an expanding range of restorative options, while improving access to high-quality iTero intraoral scans among dental professionals in different regions.

The Zfx network encompasses a number of major European, Asian and African countries, with the company seeking a deal with Align in order to diversify its portfolio.

Raphael Pascaud, chief marketing officer of Align Technology, said: "The addition of iTero intraoral scanners with the Zfx digital restorative platform exemplifies our shared commitment to provide digital restorative solutions and efficiency to dental professionals."

The firm recently announced that iTero Element scanner has been used to submit more than one million scans since it was introduced in 2015.
