Align Technology appoints managing director for Americas region

Align Technology has announced the appointment of Lynn Pendergrass to the newly-created position of vice-president and managing director of the Americas region, effective as of February 27th.

Ms Pendergrass brings to the new role more than 20 years of experience running global organisations, with expertise spanning a range of industries, including the consumer, technology, industrial and pharmaceutical markets.

Most recently, she was president of Sears Holdings Corporation's hardlines division, while her other previous employers include Johnson and Johnson Consumer, Hewlett-Packard and GE.

Following this appointment, Align's vice-president and managing director for North America Chris Puco and Ritesh Sharma, managing director for Latin America, will report directly to Ms Pendergrass.

Mr Puco's position as a member of Align's executive management committee will be unaffected by the change.
