Align Technology launches newest version of Invisalign

18th August 2010

Align Technology has launched the latest version of its Invisalign technology, which allows the positioning of teeth to be corrected using discrete appliances.

The Invisalign G3 system has been described by the manufacturer as the most innovative and versatile version yet, featuring better control over tooth movement and enhanced software support.

It introduces Precision Cut technology to allow the aligners to be pre-cut, eliminating the need for manual cutting when used on patients with class II/III malocclusion.

Other new additions include SmartForce, a range of additional attachments and aligner features which can be positioned to guarantee more predictable tooth movement.

Sheila Tan, Align's vice-president for marketing and chief marketing officer, said: "Invisalign G3 represents a tremendous leap forward in Invisalign innovation and demonstrates how we leverage our technology to deliver the clinical outcomes doctors expect."

Last month, the manufacturer published its second quarter financial report, highlighting a 27.3 per cent year-on-year increase in Invisalign case shipments during the period.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800030444-ADNFCR
