Align Technology launches Vivera retainers with Precision Bite Ramps
Align Technology has announced that its Vivera retainers will be made available with Precision Bite Ramps for the first time.
The company's Precision Bite Ramps are designed to disocclude the posterior teeth, or "open the bite", for improved efficiency in deep bite Invisalign treatments. They were first introduced as part of the Invisalign G5 range in 2014.
Align's Vivera retainers will now become the first retainers on the market that can be customised to provide additional support after deep bite correction, making them a useful tool in the treatment of deep bite malocclusion, a common orthodontic occurrence.
Vivera retainers with Precision Bite Ramps are now available to Invisalign-trained providers in the Asia-Pacific and North American regions, with European and Latin American launches planned for the second and fourth quarter of 2018 respectively.
Dr Rob van den Berg, an Invisalign Platinum provider with orthodontic practices in San Ramon and Mountain View in California, said: "Now that I can select Precision Bite Ramps on both Invisalign clear aligners and Vivera retainers, I can provide both a great outcome for my patients with deep bite, and an effective way to maintain their beautiful smile for years to come."
