Allergan names new head of investor relations and strategy
Allergan has announced the appointment of Daphne Karydas as its new senior vice-president of global investor relations and strategy, effective as of April 17th.
Ms Karydas can boast more than 16 years of industry experience as a leading institutional investor and financial analyst in the biopharmaceutical sector, joining the company from JP Morgan Asset Management.
Prior to this, she was a healthcare equity research analyst and portfolio manager at The Boston Company Asset Management, with other former employers including Goldman Sachs and Merck Sharp and Dohme.
In her new role at Allergan, the business leader will spearhead the company's engagement with the investment community, working alongside its executive leadership team to help develop and execute a long-term business strategy.
Brent Saunders, chairman and chief executive officer of Allergan, said Ms Karydas "brings an outstanding perspective on industry and macroeconomic trends that provide the firepower necessary to identify and set strategic objectives that enhance our growth pharma leadership position".
