5th May 2009

Allergan predicts total product net sales for the second quarter of 2009 to be between $1,050 million (726.4 million pounds) and $1,100 million.

This forecast remains unchanged from figures it released on February 4th 2009 and the assertion came after the company released its fiscal report for the first three months of the year.

Pharmaceutical net sales fell by 3.6 per cent and medical devices dropped by 17.6 per cent.

David E I Pyott, chairman of the board and chief executive of the firm, commented on the results.
