27th April 2010

Amgen has chosen its current executive vice-president Robert Bradway to become its new president and chief operating officer (COO).

The executive will now report directly to Amgen chairman and chief executive officer Kevin Sharer and will take responsibility for matters such as global commercial operations, manufacturing operations and information technology.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Sharer said: “Bob Bradway is an outstanding executive with significant potential who is Amgen’s new president and COO. He earned it.”
