Ansell highlights commercial success of Skyn contraceptives

Ansell has underlined the success experienced thus far by its recently introduced Skyn range of contraceptive products, which are now available in 23 countries worldwide.

The brand, which is already established in Europe and the US, saw a 47 percent increase in sales last year to contribute to Ansell's strong financial results, while consumer satisfaction with the condoms has been shown by surveys to be extremely high.

Skyn condoms utilise polyisoprene in their design to offer improved sensitivity and comfort, with Ansell currently running a global marketing campaign positioning it as the product that "changes everything".

They have just been launched in China and Brazil and will soon also be made available in India, Vietnam and Thailand.

Magnus Nicolin, chief executive officer of Ansell, said: "We listened to our consumers and delivered an innovative product that exceeds all others in this segment."

Data from the company's half-year fiscal report last week reveal that Ansell saw a five percent year-on-year increase in sales during the last six months of 2011.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801292266-ADNFCR
