Ark Therapeutics appoints new board member

Ark Therapeutics has announced the appointment of Sue Steven as a non-executive director of the company, effective as of the beginning of this week.

Ms Steven has been with the firm for more than a decade, having been an employee of Ark prior to the disposal of its trading subsidiaries in March 2013. She can therefore offer in-depth knowledge of the business.

She currently serves as Ark's company secretary and will continue in that role alongside her directorship. Prior to joining the organisation, she held a number of managerial roles within various sectors, including legal, mobile communications, computing and animal healthcare.

The firm confirmed the retirement of former non-executive director Charles Spicer during its annual general meeting.

A statement from the company said: "The board of Ark offers its thanks to Mr Spicer for the contribution he has made to the company and wishes him success in his other continuing business interests."

Ark's board of directors now consists of non-executive chairman Iain Ross, plus non-executive directors Dr David Venables and Dr David Bloxham, alongside Ms Steven.
