15th February 2011

ArthroCare has published its financial report for 2010, during which the company experienced year-on-year growth in revenue terms.

The medical technology manufacturer's total revenue from continuing operations over the 12 months ending December 31st 2010 came to $355.4 million (220.5 million pounds), up from $324.1 million the year before.

During the year, the company experienced growth in its sports medicine and ear, nose and throat products divisions, with contract manufacturing sales from its partnership with Smith and Nephew seeing a rise.

In addition, ArthroCare was also able to record improvements in its annual gross product margin, income and cash flow totals.

Last December, the company expanded its European product range with the launch of the CE-Marked WoundWand debridement device.

The minimally-invasive unit has not yet been released in the US and allows necrotic tissue to be removed from a wound following acute and chronic injuries in a precise and controlled manner.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800406065-ADNFCR
