ASDM gives acting CEO permanent role

ASDM has announced the appointment of Tom Milicevic as the company's new permanent chief executive officer (CEO), having served as acting CEO since March last year.

Mr Milicevic has taken over the role on a permanent basis as of the beginning of this month, having successfully guided the medical technology firm through a challenging period over the last 12 months.

He has been part of ASDM's team for more than five years and occupied the position of chief financial officer (CFO) since the company's listing in 2007.

Peter Kazacos, chairman of ASDM, noted that Mr Milicevic has proven himself to be a suitable CEO since March 2012, while his thorough knowledge of the company's business gives him an advantage.

He added: "His success both as CFO and acting CEO, together with his experience in the medical device sector, make him the ideal appointment."

The firm is a leading Australian developer of medical devices – including prosthetic implant tools – and was originally founded in 1994.
