Ashfield launches new unified charity outreach scheme
Ashfield has announced the launch of a new international initiative that will support charities and philanthropic programmes through fundraising, time and skills.
The Ashfield Cares scheme replaces the agency's previous localised approach to charity support governed by individual operating offices with a unified global strategy. Staff will now be able to contribute to their communities through work carried out under a single umbrella.
It forms part of a wider engagement programme known as The Ashfield Way, which actively supports both charitable and non-charitable causes by offering assistance to organisations addressing healthcare, community development and educational needs.
A wide variety of events will be incorporated into the Ashfield Cares project, with recent activities including dressing in blue for prostate cancer awareness, providing 200 hours of volunteer work to improve a local park, and setting up a toy bank for a children's institution.
Chris Corbin, chief executive officer at Ashfield, said: "We will identify programmes to support and run pledges where employees can either volunteer their time or raise funds to help a worthy cause."
