AstraTech’s Atlantis abutments to introduce new interfaces

5th March 2010

AstraTech is to expand its Atlantis dental abutment range to include a number of implants from Nobel Biocare.

As of March 15th 2010, the company will be providing its patient-specific abutment technology for Nobel Biocare’s NobelActive NP 3.5, RP 4.3 and 5.0 implant systems.

The abutments will be available in titanium, gold-shaded titanium and zirconia specifications, with the company also supplying the necessary abutment screw with the product.

AstraTech states that its Atlantis system offers advantages due its use of software technology which allows the abutment to be designed based on the desired shape of the final tooth.

It said: “Atlantis abutments provide outstanding function and aesthetics for all positions in the mouth. By using Atlantis, you can have one solution for all major implant systems.”

This comes after AstraTech introduced a new version of the Atlantis abutment which is compatible with NobelReplace 3.5 NP in September 2009.
