Athena appoints new account manager and account executive

Athena has promoted Sarah Avent and James Langridge to respective new roles of account manager and account executive.

The communications agency has selected the two employees for promotion based on their success since joining the company, with their new roles set to see them work with high-profile pharmaceutical clients.

Prior to joining Athena, both Ms Avent and Mr Langridge had accrued several years’ worth of experience working in the marketing sector, with Ms Avent also having held positions at several NHS trusts.

At Athena, both have been involved in a number of medical education and public relations campaigns in fields such as oncology and mental health.

Ms Avent will now work with Bayer Schering Pharma and Durbin in her account management role, while Mr Langridge will be involved with clients such as Merck Sharpe and Dohme.

This comes after the agency last month appointed Rhian Mullock to become its new senior account executive.
