Athena Medical appoints new account director

Athena Medical has announced the appointment of Sabah Al-Lawati as a new account director.

The new recruit joins Athena after working as a senior account manager at JiWin PR, the Dubai-based firm currently working with clients such as Coca-Cola, Hilton and Dubai Healthcare City.

Ms Al-Lawati is set to take up a role as an account director for Athena’s medical education offering, PR Week reports.

In other changes reported at the London-based medical PR company, Tania Kouprach-Rolandi has been promoted to senior account manager from her role as account manager.

Athena now consists of three units – UK, international and medical education – and is one of the UK’s leading specialist healthcare PR agencies.

The company has received 12 industry awards in the last three years, being named Consultancy of the Year at the Communique Awards in 2005 and winning Best Product Campaign at the same ceremony in 2006.
