Aurora to host healthcare communications event

Aurora is to host a pharmaceutical communications industry event to provide advice and education on compiling media materials.

The public relations company is organising the evening event at the Brown’s court house in central London on April 21st 2010, with former Sun health editor Jacqui Thornton among the confirmed speakers.

This conference will be designed to provide communications and marketing professionals with guidance on constructing more engaging press materials.

Among the issues that will be highlighted are the benefits of avoiding overly-complex medical terminology and providing copy which will engage a wider audience.

It states that the intention of the evening will be to “facilitate a better collaboration between pharma and media for the benefit of reaching our audiences with those all-important health stories”.

The media organisation has accrued significant industry experience since being founded in 2005 and has conducted programmes and campaigns for firms such as AstraZeneca, Roche, Schering-Plough and Novartis.
