Axiom names new laboratory sales manager

Axiom Veterinary Laboratories has announced the appointment of Caron Lewis-Timmins as its new laboratory sales manager.

She has been with the company since 2011, joining Axiom as a business development manager. Prior to this, she worked in a variety of sales and business development roles at Petplan, giving her extensive experience in the veterinary sector.

In her new role, Ms Lewis-Timmins will be responsible for building sales of the company's in-practice analyser range, growing its small animal and farm animal referral testing business and managing a team of business development managers.

Her appointment comes at a time when Axiom's practice analyser business has been experiencing significant growth, with further progress expected in 2015.

Martyn Carpenter, managing director of Axiom Veterinary Laboratories, said: "Caron has exceptional people skills, so brings out the best in her team. She has also demonstrated her business development skills time after time and will lead by example."

The firm is based in Newton Abbott in Devon and has offered a clinical pathology service to the veterinary industry for more than 25 years.
