Axon to operate under new holding company Avenir Global
Axon Communications has announced that its parent organisation National Public Relations has established a new holding company, Avenir Global.
This new division will manage the firm's five operating brands, which includes Axon as well as Canada's National Public Relations, the financial comms specialist National Equicom, the UK-based strategic consultancy Madano, and the integrated comms agency Shift Communications.
It will retain the same leadership team based at its head office in Montreal, with Andrew Molson serving as chairman and Jean-Pierre Vasseur as president and chief executive officer of Avenir Global.
Subsidiary brands including Axon will continue to maintain their current business models, allowing them to pursue further growth uninterrupted.
Ralph Sutton, international managing partner at Axon Communications, said: "We will continue to grow globally as we pursue our long-term growth strategy, seeking out acquisitions which help us maintain and diversify our international client base and capabilities."
Avenir Global began as a two-person Montreal-based PR consultancy in 1976 and is now ranked among the top 25 largest communications agencies in the world, employing 550 members of staff across 17 offices in Europe and North America.
