Babel PR appoints new UK managing director

Babel PR has announced the appointment of veteran employee Matt Humphries as its new UK managing director.

Mr Humphries will head up the agency's flagship London office and will be tasked with supporting co-founders Ian Hood and Narelle Morrison in overseeing UK operations, new business prospects, client services and team development, reports Gorkana.

He has been with Babel since 2008, making him the agency's longest-serving member of staff. Prior to this appointment, he led the firm's new business initiatives and telecoms practices.

With Mr Humphries now assuming greater responsibility for managing the UK business, Babel hopes to be able to place a renewed focus on pursuing its international growth plans.

Mr Hood said: "As the company's longest-standing employee, time and time again he has proven himself to be invaluable to the team, his clients and the wider business."

The agency has experience of working with a wide variety of technology clients, including brands such as Opencloud, Netscout, Beamly, Epson and Philips.
