Bausch + Lomb to present new scientific data at industry annual meeting
Bausch + Lomb is set to showcase more than 20 new scientific data presentations at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
Among them will be 17 podium presentations and three posters, covering topics as varied as ‘Evaluation of a New Phacoemulsification Infusion System’ and ‘Comparison of Spectacle Independence for a New Toric Intraocular Lens (IOL) versus Predicate Spherical IOL’.
Joseph C Papa, chairman and CEO at Valeant, said: "The breadth of data being presented at the ASCRS this year reinforces our commitment to investing in research across the Bausch + Lomb business, one of our core therapeutic areas of focus.
"We are committed to the continued advancement of our eye health offerings to meet the needs of our customers and their patients."
Surgeons will also be able to see Bausch + Lomb’s technologies first hand, as a wet lab is to be set up at the company’s booth and educational programs running throughout the event.
Areas of interest are likely to be Stellaris Elite, Bausch + Lomb’s next generation cataract and retina surgery platform; and the VICTUS femtosecond laser used in advanced cataract and corneal applications.
Also on display will be a wide selection of IOLs, delivery systems and new enVista MX60E with StableFlex technology.
The ASCRS Annual Meeting runs from April 13th to 17th at the Walter E Washington Convention Center.
