Bayer company Medrad moves into Berkshire headquarters

3rd August 2011

Bayer has announced that its subsidiary firm Medrad has successfully relocated to the organisation's UK headquarters in Berkshire.

The company, which specialises in magnetic resonance imaging and interventional cardiology, was previously based at a facility in the Cambridgeshire city of Ely.

Medrad will continue to operate as a standalone entity following a smooth transition to Bayer's Newbury site, but can utilise the services of its parent company when necessary.

Nicola Penfound, head of product supply and customer service at Bayer UK, commented: "Medrad is a part of our HealthCare business unit and therefore an integral part of our operation and we are delighted to be working so closely together."

European director at Medrad Peter Cleber added that the relocation had "no negative impact" on the firm's productivity.

As well as the shift in personnel, all Medrad stock was moved to Bayer's logistics service provider UDG.

Last week, Bayer announced that its total revenues for the second quarter of 2011 grew by 0.8 per cent to reach 9.252 million euros (8.062 million pounds). ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800674880-ADNFCR
