The theme for this year’s contest is "Climate Change: Our Challenge". The organisers are inviting children from around the world to paint their ideas of how to tackle the phenomenon.

The eventual winner, plus two second-place finalists and regional champions will be asked to take part in an international children’s environment event. They will also receive prizes at a ceremony held by Bayer and UNEP.

In addition, the winning painting will go on display at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
