Bayer releases information on climate change
Bayer has released a brochure containing information on integrated measures for climate change and how the company is tackling the issue.
The 36-page document which is available in English, German and Spanish uses graphic illustrations to help explain complicated "relationships", particularly in the fields of agriculture, construction and industrial production.
Bayer’s Climate Programme and its "lighthouse projects" are featured in the brochure, such as its zero-emission construction concept called "EcoCommercial Building". This focuses on using non-edible plants like jatropha to create biofuels.
In addition, the company is also developing stress-resistant plants which can survive environmental factors such as drought, heat, cold and saline soil which climate change may increase.
