Bayer to present new cancer data at AACR 2017

Bayer has confirmed that it will be attending the upcoming annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), where it will present its latest oncology findings.

Running from April 1st to 5th in Washington DC, the company will share five oral and 26 poster presentations covering a variety of haematologic and solid cancers, including data from clinical and preclinical trials.

The presentations will include the first clinical results from the pivotal phase II CHRONOS-1 trial, which evaluated copanlisib in patients with relapsed or refractory indolent non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Also scheduled are a series of preclinical data presentations for a number of small molecules, including the oral multikinase inhibitor regorafenib, the pan-fibroblast growth factor receptor inhibitor BAY 1163877, the positive transcription elongation factor inhibitor BAY 1251152 and the ataxia telangiectasia rad3-related protein inhibitor BAY 1895344.

Additionally, data on Bayer's antibody-drug conjugate platform will be presented, including BAY1129980 and BAY 1187982, plus findings pertaining to three new chemical entities from the emerging Targeted Thorium Conjugate platform.

The company said its presentations "underscore Bayer's comprehensive approach to research and development for advancing oncology pipeline projects that have the potential to be first-in-class in their category".
