BCF Technology supplies equipment for Olympic equine care

10th August 2012

BCF Technology has been able to help supply equipment to take care of the horses competing in this summer's Olympic Games in London.

The purpose-built veterinary clinic in Greenwich that is being utilised during the Games has been equipped with two GE Ultrasound machines that were supplied and supported by BCF.

Using the state-of-the-art Logiq-e and Vivid-I devices, veterinarians have been able to provide swift and accurate diagnoses for competing horses from every nation, which has been essential in the assessment of common tendon and ligament injuries.

The units have proven invaluable for tending to the healthcare needs of animals involved in events such as the cross-country races, which can cause a large degree of trauma to musculoskeletal systems.

Nigel Perry from BCF Technology said: "It has been very satisfying to see the equipment help vets from all around the world."

Earlier this month, the company launched the VGA Bug, a new goggle-based device that can be used to conveniently view ultrasound images.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801426868-ADNFCR
