BCF Technology to become part of IMV Technologies

BCF Technology has agreed a deal to become part of IMV Technologies, a leading French provider of animal reproduction technologies headquartered in Normandy.

IMV Technologies has operations in more than 130 countries, with established subsidiaries in the US, India, China, Italy and the Netherlands. Its planned integration of BCF follows the recent acquisition of the French ultrasound manufacturer ECM in June 2017.

Alan Picken, managing director of BCF, will lead the new-look imaging division of IMV Technologies following the conclusion of the deal, as well as becoming a member of the IMV  management board.

It is expected that the BCF deal will support IMV's broader corporate strategy of supplying health status and reproduction-readiness tools to veterinarians, breeding technicians and livestock owners.

Mr Picken said: "Our 100 employees have worked hard to build this company to where it is now. There is no doubt that IMV's strong brand, customer loyalty and extensive distribution network will help to expand further our imaging activities."
