BCF Technology upgrades Easi-Scan bovine scanner software

BCF Technology has announced an update for the software accompanying its Easi-Scan bovine scanner in order to provide users with a wider variety of options.

New to the latest version of the system is trapezoidal imaging for in late and ovary/early modes, thus creating a wider field of view, while resolution and focal band performance have also been improved across all modes.

Moreover, a number of new language options for the interface – including French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Polish and Russian – have been added to reflect growing overseas demand for BCF products.

All new Easi-Scans sold by the company will have this software upgrade installed as standard, while any older models that are sent to BCF for servicing will also have the update applied.

Scot Cowan of BCF Technology said: "The new Easi-Scan software allows a wider field of vision using your existing Easi-Scan equipment, therefore allowing you to see more of the uterus in less time."

This week the firm also announced that 16,500 pounds is to be handed over to a number of animal health charities following the recent Vet Charity Challenge, of which BCF was a leading sponsor.
